Isotonic Saline Solution For Inhalation (0.9% + HA)

KNOXZY 0.9 % + HA, in single dosage format, without preservatives, for nebulization, acts via various mechanisms that facilitate the movement of respiratory tract secretions, thereby improving breathing by: 

  • Breaking the ionic bonds in the mucus gel, thus reducing the secretion’s level of viscosity and elasticity. 
  • Absorbing water from the mucosa and sub-mucosa and thereby reducing swelling from the respiratory tract walls. 
  • Inducing cough and sputum, which may help eliminate mucus from the bronchi, and thereby improve obstruction of the respiratory tract

KNOXZY 0.9 % + HA, in inhalation therapy is especially indicated for all age patients suffering from bronchiolitis, acute bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used as vehicle of other drugs products for inhalation.

Dosage and administration:

It is recommended for use in pneumatic nebulizers where optimal operating results have been obtained. It is recommended to follow the usage instructions of the equipment manufacturer.

Use 4 or 5 ml of the solution in the inhalation therapy according to medical prescription.

Preparation for inhalation:

  • Break off a unit-dose vial and open it by twisting off the top. 
  • Pour the inhalation solution into the nebulizer. 
  • Use your nebulizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the system.

Precautions:

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • This product has no preservatives. After opening the ampoule used immediately and discard after use to avoid risk of contamination and being any cause of infection.
  • Do not use jointly with other drugs unless first checking with your physician.
  • In very sensitive patients, administration should be carried out according to medical prescription, since the prior administration of a bronchodilator may be necessary.
  • In the case of bronchospasms or persistent cough, stop treatment and check with your physician.
  • Do not use the product after the expiry date.
  • Do not use if the ampoule is damaged.
  • Do not store above 25°C.
