Isotonic Saline Solution For Inhalation (0.9%) 

KNOXZY® inhalation isotonic solution (0.9%NaCl) is indicated for the humidification of the upper and lower airways. This solution can be used with pneumatic or ultrasonic nebulizers. 

KNOXZY® inhalation isotonic solution (0.9% NaCl) is suitable for all ages and can thus be administered to young children.

This type of therapy may notably be used during the treatment of flu-like syndromes, colds and coughs. KNOXZY® inhalation isotonic solution (0.9% NaCl) is also indicated when the humidity of the ambient air is low or after a long stay in an air-conditioned or heated environment. KNOXZY® inhalation isotonic solution (0.9% NaCl) is highly compatible with human body fluids and ensures sufficient humidification of the respiratory mucosa, thus avoiding an unpleasant sensation of dryness. This process helps the airways’ natural cleaning mechanisms, which is of benefit in cases of inflammation or pollution exposure or following the inhalation of dust or smoke.

Dosage and administration:

Depending on the need, up to four vials per day can be used (with one vial per inhalation). For information on how to use your nebulizer, refer to the manufacturers’ instructions.

Preparation for inhalation:

  • Break off a unit-dose vial and open it by twisting off the top. 
  • Pour the inhalation solution into the nebulizer. 
  • Use your nebulizer according to the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the system.

Contraindications and side effects:

  • No side effects or contraindication have been reported when KNOXZY® inhalation isotonic solution (0.9% NaCl) is used as recommended.
